Adrianos Golemis was born in Larisa and Studied Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He took his Masters’ Degree in Space Studies of International Space University in France and completed his Master’s thesis at European Space Agency (ESA). Afterwards, he was chosen by ESA to work at Concordia Station, Antarctica for a year in medical research, contributing to the study of the impact of extreme environmental conditions to the human physiology and psychology. He worked for the French Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology in Toulouse (MEDES). Since 2018 he works at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) of ESA as a doctor, monitoring the Astronauts before, during and after their missions to space. He is a member of Friends of Astronomy Club of Thessaloniki and his preferred activities are astrophotography and long distance running.
