Consultant urologist @ European Robotic Institute – Prostatazentrum Nordwest
Born in 1987, Nikolaos Liakos is a consultant urologist and a robotic surgeon in Prostatazentrum Nordwest in St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau, Germany. He was born in the city of Kavala and studied medicine in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. While completing his residency in urology in Germany, he received his training in robotic-assisted surgery in the highest volume centre for robotic urology in Europe (St. Antonius Hospital Gronau). Highly engaged in the field of clinical medicine and in the educational programmes of robotic surgery, he is currently a tutor in laparoscopic and robotic surgery in European Robotic Institute along with his duties in the area of clinical urology.
He is a member of various international societies, such as the European Urological Association, the European Robotic Urological Society, the German Robotic Urological Society and he is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology.
